Can't Get Enough of Matcha! - 11/7/14

I discovered this awesome Matcha place last Friday along Pioneer Center in Pasig 8D
Kissako Uji Matcha Cafe, they've coffee and plenty of Matcha food things for us to enjoy.
The place itself is very relaxing, not too much people when we got there, too.

I ordered this amazing and delicious Matcha Iced Tea Latte, It is almost as good as Starbucks but presentation is pretty so Kissako wins my heart.

Sine it's a cafe, they've no food, they've only cookies, and shortcakes and ice cream among other coffee snack things. The pretty manager said we can bring in food from other stores, instead.. so that we did.

My craving for beef tapa has been satiated, haha! But I do hope they would have some hungry person food in their menu pretty soon, they've a neighboring Japanese resto, Takashi, I think, I've to try that out next time, hihih.

Me looking pagoda (too pagod to look ganda) , too tired cause I've just gotten off of graveyard,  and no amount of beautification apps can make me look pretty haha, sorry not sorry, suffer dear reader, suffer!

Shame, could have ordered a cake but was too full for it, I will come back next week with a friend, so hopefully I can blog a better entry about this cafe, My boyfie also bought me this nail polish from Etude, it's the perfect shade of Aquamarine and I love it! I've had polishes in weird shades of Teal and this is a good breather from all the blue hues I've been wearing.

If you want to know more about this cafe, I found a nice blog entry.

Blissful Break

Hey there. I just got off from my doctor's appointment,
I hath been served yet another 5 sessions of physical therapy.
It made me feel uncertain about a lot of things. It's not that bad really, just back pains but it made me feel uncertain.  I have undergone the first 5 sessions for my back, I'm not complaining but I've been out of work
for almost two weeks, I am getting paid and I know I don't have any right to complain
but it just makes me unsure of whether or not I would still like to get back to work.

Work has not been okay recently, not that it is hard. The work is fairly okay. not to mention my boss has been such a goody about my therapy, everyone has been really nice to me, so far. I am just at that age, where I want something I can really sink my teeth in to, and my current career disposition does not promise me that. I want something I can keep forever and this is not it. This current bliss of a break that I was given for this Myofascial Pain Syndrome only adds up to my list of reasons why I should quit. Anyway, enough of work.

http://www.salon.com/2013/06/16/the_ocean_at_the_end_of_the_lane_neil_gaiman_returns/

I am finally done with the book I was reading; The Ocean at the End of The Lane, by the great Neil Gaiman. I fell in love with it and would have finished in one sitting but I was successful at limiting myself
so as to prolong the joy I get from reading, hehe! It starts off with a man who grew up with books and well, you should read it, There was this one particular quote which I like very much.

“Grown-ups don't look like grown-ups on the inside either. Outside, they're big and thoughtless and they always know what they're doing. Inside, they look just like they always have. Like they did when they were your age. Truth is, there aren't any grown-ups. Not one, in the whole wide world.”

I grew up with books, too. My mum never allowed me to play outside as a child, I clearly remember my first two books were the illustrated ones of Snow White and Alice in Wonderland, I was four years old with Alice being my absolute favorite. I remember not being able to read back then, I was so worried I won't be able to read at all. I eventually learned how-to a year after,. My parents bought me all kinds of books from dinos to fairies.

There was this one time, my parents bought me a giant Atlast/Dictionary for my 6th birthday.
It was a big and boring and blue, that's how it looked like to me. I wore a straight face for the rest of the day. This could have a been a big book of mythical creatures or witch incantations but no, it has  to be this heavy duty book with words I don't really encounter. I finally learned how to appreciate this boring book by 3rd grade when we were learning about the dictionary, I thought it must have all the words in the world written inside. Ah, what are these feels?

Ah, the boyfriend at work is not responding to my messages.
I could give him a piece of my mind or I can treat myself to a piece of cake.
I think Imma do both! Happy Weekend!

Afternoons at Taibun and 2ne1

First off, I love LSP! Currently watching Adventure Time reruns again with my sister lol.
And Hello July! I have been meaning to say that since my misfortunes last June started eating me up. I'm just glad it's over, some bad luck I had.
But hopefully this month would bring lots of good news, good hopes, good health
and plenty of wealth for all of us, yes?

My hime maruneko nails for the week!

Hehehe anyway, I can't wait to talk about this new hang out place my mom discovered a few weeks ago. It's called "Taibun", a Taiwanese restaurant and pastry shop located in San Juan City, my sweet little town. This place is at a walking distance from our house so I guess that pretty much explains why my wallet was thinning faster than usual. Mom, you are held accountable for my gained weight and bankruptcy.

Entrance

They have everything a diabetic person would kill their relatives for (that's my mom ugh! so hard to control her!) from pastries, cakes and cookies, They also have a cute dining area in the other room, with free wifi and cable TV. There were people dining then so I opted not to take any photos.

Every time we go there they would always bring out something fresh from the oven. I do hope the kind Taiwanese lady who, as I've been told, is also the pastry chef would consider baking us some cute macaroons and some sugar free pastries for hard headed diabetic people. MOM!
One of every kind please and thank you!
Condiments corner.
I have yet to try these but I think they're really cute and would make lovely presents since they can be bought as a set inside a pretty box.
Yum!
This meal is not for the faint of heart, JK! You can get this for 130 PHP, say what? just a little more than 3USD oh with free drinks, OJ or Iced Tea, and must I say very very delectable indeed, from the noodles to the chicken!
Milk Tea with Pudding, at 75PHP.
We also had Taiwanese beef noodles (145PHP) the next day, I took my Tough Guy so he can pay haha! thick savory and beefy goodness! I've had my fair share of beef wanton's and noodles and this by far has the richest flavor, although it is more on the sweet side but the downside for me is the noodles, I am not a big fan of thick noodles.  But I am crazy about their gyoza! we forgot to take a picture but you can see it in this photo, we had to order 3 trays and that's just me and Tough Guy, it's very light and tasty! 8pcs for only 85PHP I think.
Japanese Light Cheesecake (75PHP) and Red Grape juice (120PHP)
Love the cheesecake, ate the whole tray without feeling any guilt whatsoever!

And they have Japanese fashion magazines for reading, hello!
My favorite take home!
These are my favorite kinds so far, they have so many bread things I want to taste them all.
I left their FB link since I stole some photos from there lol!
So there ya go! Taibun, our current favorite hang out place!
Well ventilated
Small, cozy and quiet (most of the time, we go in the afternoons)
Very clean and sanitary
Wifi and flat screen cable T.V.
Very friendly and accommodating staff.

[Edit]

In other news, by other I meant aside from Tom Kat breaking up..
2NE1 is baaacck! lawlawlawlawlaw! Although fans from around the globe have mixed feelings about this because well.. 2ne1 went for the femme sexy look this time around and the new title track "I love you" is not something Blackjacks are accustomed to as opposed to the "I don't care, I hate you, I am the best, I am gonna cut your balls off" thing 2ne1 had been known for.

But fret not! Tons of girl groups are currently doing the fierce, funky, fashion make it or break it look 2ne1 did during their previous promotions, so I believe YG intended for the girls to do something simple, something almost mediocre which is also something totally unexpected. Have faith Blackjacks, I am really excited! I am all about these girls, I cannot wait for their come back!

Dara's teaser has been released.
Now tell me this isn't fierce, the girl shaved half of her head.
Looking forward to Bom's, Minzy's and (edit) CL's!!

Minzy is all grown up now!

CL looking so vulnerable like this shall take some time getting used to but she undoubtedly looks gorgeous!

Bommie's ombre is lalalove!

Leaving you with this not so recent half decent photo of myself since I cannot remember the last time I posted one lol! I shall save the kawaii haul for next post!
I'll see you then! Hope everyone had a lovely weekend!

Want to know the most destructive force in the universe? Regret.

Tough Guy and I went out last night to go see Men in Black 3.
We are all about Will Smith, so the geek in us were all giddy, haha! We thought it was going to suck! Not so much action, just the right amount of comedy but the story and the sweet climax in the end is just perfect. I am trying to sound neutral as much as I can, I ship Will Smith so bad and this movie is just was pretty much my childhood OTL. I think I'm gonna go see it again with the family, definitely worth paying for.

Some pointers, no spoilers:
The villain is scary as shit, definitely got his point across the entire film.
He is pissed and he will skin you alive.
Nicole Scherzinger was smokin! She and her sexy shoes deserved more screen time, ugh.
The guy who played young Agent K was stellar, He just feels like Tommy Lee Jones.
And of course Will Smith's comical antics, crazy facial expressions and one liners from the hood.
Oh and one more character, a galactic unicorn in the form of Griffin, so so adorable,

So overall, you should go see this film, it's not as good as the first but it's way better than the second. Just.. don't over analyze the ending okay? It might ruin everything, haha! Just leave it to the myth busters. MoreWill Smith sequels please!! Independence Day 2? Bad Boys 3? I heard there is I Am Legend 2 coming up.

So... before I even start talking about my unhealthy obsession with two black police officers and a hot Cuban drug lord, let me navigate this post to something more appropriate.. cute things, hello.
School is about to start in 2 weeks and I thought I'd be fun to share some cute and useful things I've acquired as of late.

They look like one, big, happy family. Awhh.

These are cellphone cases. My cousin took the pink one. Pft.

Pretty patterns inside.

This is a cutesy, tiny coin purse.

Zipper is at the back.

And a large pencil case, about 10-12 inches.

Zipper is on the side.

My favorite one from this lot! Super cute Fuwakoro ID holder/purse.

Where you slid your I.D

Zipper on top for small things.

That's about it, I'm looking to purchasing more things like this. Things that are cute and useful at the same time; but the problem is I couldn't find it in my heart to use any of them, having them is enough to make me happy.

Sharing my nails for this week, pastel pink and milky green.
Hope everyone reading had a lovely weekend. I sure did.
Monday again, oh joy. Til next post!
