The price we pay for loving our pets a little too much.

Sassy, no other words can describe how much I miss you.
Rmember how I took you in when I saw you
You were looking for food in the neighbor's yard.
And how I thought you were a girl cat when in fact you were a boy.
And that I only came to realize that when you were fully grown and
everyone else was used to calling you "Sassy".

Not having you around anymore will take some getting used to.
I am going to miss how you walk me outside the house whenever I have to go out.
And I'm going to miss seeing you there and just waiting for me when I get back home.
And I am going to miss you jumping on my bed and snuggling without me knowing.

I know you're in kitty heaven now Sassy.
Where you can eat all you can, and play all you want.
I am sorry I wasn't there for you when you needed me.
I love you, be happy for me and Daisuki.

My Dad told me the most heartbreaking news yesterday, morning.
One of my cats died, one of my favorites, too.
Dad found Sassy lying near the gate, his usual waiting post.
He said there were no traces of foul play. He was just lying there.
And it really puzzled me cause Sassy was a very playful, active and healthy looking cat.
...
I cannot remember when was the last time I've cried this much.
Thank you Sassy for all the wonderful memories.
You were a great friend and an amazing cat.
I'll never forget you.
...
If someone is responsible for my cat's death (as I suspect), I leave that person to karma.
He/She will surely deserve what's coming to them.

cats are truely amazing animals...i remember when i lost mine :( it was terrible, i felt so entirely alone...they seem to be the most empathetic of all of the animals i know of, it just seems like they always understand. i wish there were more people like that.. i'm sorry for your loss :( i know how you're feeling right now :(

One of my cats died a few years back. She was only 5 years old and it came suddenly. She got a blood clot at the end of her back where it meets her tail and she couldn't walk anymore. I rushed her to an emergency vet only to be told she would have to suffer several days before a specialist could see her and assess her case. They said she if she lived through it all, there were 50% chances she would get another blood clot if not several others later in life.

She looked like she was dying in agony on the vet table, so I had to let her go. I didn't want her to suffer. I came home 250$ poorer, with no cat. It all happened within 1 hour.

She went from greeting me at the door happily as usual when I came back from her, to dying at the vet.

I was crushed and cried for days. It's a terrible feeling, it's practically if not the same, as loosing a human being you care for. Animals have personalities and can become a big part of our lives, it's heartbreaking when you lose them.

I'm so sorry for your lost. I know 100% how you feel. *Big Hugs*

sorry about your loss...just this march, my cat, Blu, is no longer with me too. He's quite popular here in my place because he always greets and entertains customers in our shop. I some people "like" him too much. I've heard many people say that my Blu was stolen (cat-napped). yes, I'm still very angry up to now...why can't they just adopt and raise other cats in the pound or something...

I almost cried! I'm so sorry for your loss. How old was he?
When I read your post, I thought of my cat back in Hawaii. I really wish I could be with her because she's starting to get old. I don't know how it would feel to actually lose her one day :(((
But I know Sassy is in a good place right now! Maybe even with his mommy :)
